What we do
We provide advice and information on a wide range of issues including Welfare Benefits, Debt, Housing and Employment. We also have details of other national organisations and groups. We are unable to provide advice on immigration matters, neighbourhood disputes or consumer issues. (see referral section below). Our free, confidential, and independent service is available to people living in North Bristol, and the BS32 and BS34 areas of South Gloucestershire.  In certain circumstances we may be able to offer a home visit.  Please phone for details.

History
North Bristol Advice Centre was set up in 1984 as a neighbourhood advice service and was initially run by volunteers. We now employ 12 staff. We are a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. The specific aims of the organisation are to improve access to advice and information to all sections of the community and to increase take up of legal entitlements. We are committed to promoting equal opportunities and challenging discrimination.
