The EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) announced by the Home Office last year requires EU nationals currently living in the UK to apply for settled status in order to continue living lawfully in the UK after Brexit.
A consortium of community advice providers in Bristol --North Bristol Advice Centre, St Pauls Advice Centre, and South Bristol Advice Services-- has received grant funding to provide practical support to vulnerable or at-risk people applying to the EU Settlement Scheme. Our remit is to inform these EEA citizens of their need to apply and to help those that may struggle to complete their applications. Those classed as vulnerable include: older people, those with health issues, disabilities, mental health problems and/or language difficulties. This list is not exhaustive: we will help individuals and families facing other barriers engaging with the scheme or completing their applications.
